Touring with longtime friend and collaborator Oliver Craven, the two take a rootsy slant to their combined catalog, engaging audiences with song, improv, and largely ridiculous banter.
Oliver Bates Craven is a Nashville-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. The oldest son of a folk-singing preacher, his diverse musical upbringing included a family band, a decade of classical violin lessons, and ultimately skipping football practice to teach himself the guitar playing along to Hendrix records. A founding member of the revered American band The Stray Birds, and currently a member of Sierra Ferrell’s touring band, Oliver has spent the last fifteen years as a professional musician. From intimately crowded folk clubs to sold out festivals he has found himself on the stages of numerous continents, several thousand times.
A poignant writer with soulful and powerful vocal and instrumental deliveries, accompanied by a dynamic sense of performance that honors nuance and originality, his musicality is one of a seemingly effortless focus, and a clearly impassioned and tangible joy.
Cy Winstanley is a New Zealand born, Nashville based songwriter, session guitarist (Brandy Clark, Peter Bradley Adams) and winner of 3 New Zealand music awards. As songwriter and guitarist/vocalist in Tattletale Saints he has released 4 albums; 2014’s ‘How Red is The Blood’ and 2020’s ‘Dancing Under the Dogwoods’, both winning the New Zealand Folk Tui for Album Of The Year. In addition to releasing an album of covers in Tattletale Saints (‘In the Summertime’), 2023 saw the release of Cy’s first solo foray, ‘The Dumplings EP’ - a collection showcasing the now-Nashville based musician’s breadth as a songwriter, moving easily between frivolity, sensuality, and groove, much like it’s creator.
